FAQ

What is the speaking fee?

Add your pricing strategy. Be sure to include important details like value, length of service, and why it’s unique.

What type of events do you do?

I am available for Sunday morning or evenings, weekend conferences that put together a series of messages, and—if far enough in advance—weeknight events, but only for single messages.

How long is a typical message?

I’m wired to speak for about 38 minutes, shorter or longer depending on the time allotted and the ability of those gathered to continue listening.

Are traveling expenses included in the fee?

No. If excessive expenses are incurred, a reimbursement is appreciated. Details will be worked out before both parties commit to an event, but generally include overnight stay, airfare or gasoline purchases, and one meal.  Church hospitality is a great way offset much of this expense.

How do I book you?

How far in advance do I need to book you?

I need at least three weeks advance notice of a single-message event, six weeks for a conference with multiple messages.

Do you have logistical or technical requirements?

Normal requirements for a guest speaker.  If streaming, I’d like to know in advance so I can share the feed with others.

Would you be willing to participate in pre- or post-event discussion?

I love question & answer panel discussions. In fact, we generally hold one at least once a month after our teaching time in the gatherings of The Jar!  I try to be careful about questions that can cause controversy for the host church, so it’s nice to sit with the current pastor or other leader of the church so that I can defer.

Can I provide feedback after the event?

Once my appearance is over, I will send a short survey that helps me know how to improve my ministry to the churches who ask me to visit.
